The correct paper sizes are set for printing.	I will check the print setup through the control panel making sure the paper size is set to A4.	The paper size option is set to A4 as it should be.	The size of the paper default was set to A4.	No action required.
Menu options work as intended.	I will check through my menu options and make sure they are all working correctly.	Each menu option should work as properly without any difficulties.	All menu options are working as they should without any problems or difficulties.	No action required.
The correct date and time are set.	I will check the data and time settings making sure that the date and time set.	The set and time should be set correctly.	Both the date and time work as they should and are set correctly.	No action required.

Using the computer system provided, carry out the following routine maintenance: •       Create a file structure under user as follows A folder labelled with your name and within this folder create 3 folders labelled Home, Work and Study •       Configure the operating system to perform the following: •       back-up procedures •       automatic scheduling and deletion of unwanted data •       archiving •       defragmentation •       deleting temporary files •       Cleaning keyboard, mouse, display screen of the computer provided •       replacing consumables printer paper in the printer provided ·         replacing the damaged mouse

This task took place in IV7 on 05/06/2014 and 09:09 am. Kyle was able to change create a file structure in his documents, he then created 3 folders home, work and study. He was also able to clean the mouse, keyboard and the display screen. He was then able to configure the operating system to perform back-up procedure, automatic, scheduling and deletion of unwanted data, archiving, defragmentation.  He was then able delete files through his documents. Kyle then replaced the printer and damaged mouse.

P6.configure a computer system to meet user needs For P6, learners must configure some basic system settings, such as left and right mouse buttons, powersaving options, screen resolution, desktop theme, font size, default language setting, default folder locations etc.

The task took place 03/06/2014 10.08 am. Kyle was able to change the size of the icon by clicking view and selecting large icons. This then allowed an icon to become larger than usual. Kyle was also able to change font sizes by selcting the control panel and selecting the font size option on appearance and personalization. Kyle was also able to change his background to red by the personalize option.
